HOW IT WORKS
Members participate in an open-ended conversation (usually a quarterly phone conference) discussing green best practices for marketers. This is a professional network where we share ideas and tools for determining the best ways to communicate with the least impact on the environment.

BENEFITS
Members are provided tools for promoting green best practices. There may also be marketing opportunities for member organizations during speaking engagements, press releases, printed interviews, articles, etc.
Members may also receive discounts when attending certain environmental events.
Membership in the Green Marketing Coalition is corporate, not individual. When you apply, we ask you to tell us what your company does and why you’d like it to be part of the community.

MEMBER CRITERIA
We expect the following from our members:
- A commitment to the Green Marketing Coalition’s recommended guidelines
- A commitment to establish and maintain an internal "green team" dedicated to implementation and ongoing review of environmentally friendly initiatives
- A commitment to help establish and update green initiatives within all functions of the organization
- A willingness to participate in quarterly phone conference meetings
- A willingness to act as a resource for other members of the Coalition
- A willingness to share details regarding company-specific green initiatives that have been both successful and unsuccessful
We ask members to recruit new members to the Coalition in order to keep new ideas flowing. We’d like to keep the proportion of vendors to clients relatively low, so the requirements are as follows:
- If you’re a vendor or an advertising or marketing agency, we ask you to recruit three clients to the Coalition.
- If you’re an advertiser or marketing client, we ask that you recruit one new member in order to join.
Cost of membership is $700 for a calendar year to help cover our administrative costs.
